Content responsibility

All content on Prediki is issued by users of the platform (independent third parties) and are free of editorial supervision by Prediki. Virtually all content can be modified by anyone at any time. The platform itself avoids all contentual editing and does not employ any media staff.

Excluded is content that serves Prediki's self-presentation, under the terms of § 25 par. 5 media law and is therefore only issuable and editable by Prediki itself.

Every user is to full extent responsible for the content he/she introduces to the website. Content which infringes upon copyright, exploitation right, personality right, or any other not mentioned rights, can be deleted or modified by anyone at any time. Prediki reserves the right to ban individual users, if they infringe upon the terms of the platform, no matter if the terms were created by Prediki or by consensus of the community.

Content liability

Due to Prediki's public editability and the ongoing content alteration, it is possible that content can in some cases be incorrect or incomplete. Prediki's content serves as general information, but is not classified as individual consultation. Every user can incorporate information to his own liking. Prediki takes no responsibility and is not liable for any damage the users' faith in certain content may cause.

Guidance for rightholders

In accordance with Prediki's terms of use, users are not permitted to upload content that infringes upon the copyright of third parties. Unfortunately due to the vast number of publications, the possibility that individual users could unauthorisedly upload such content cannot be excluded. Prediki assumes no liability for infringement by third parties. As a victim or a victim's representative of this type of infringement there are two possible ways to handle the violation:

  1. Prediki recommends removing the content yourself. This has the advantage that the rectification takes effect immediately. Additionally you have the permission to report the infringer to the community via the report-feature. By doing so, you enable the community to decide the appropriate consequences of the violation (e.g. admonition, ban, etc.).
  2. You can report a violation to Prediki per email. This email should describe the infringing content as accurately as possible and cite the content source. The content in question will then be removed in due time, depending on the respective business hours (Austrian business days from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Official contact for these requests can only be established by the given contact data. Other users, even if they are admins or moderators and therefore possess the technical empowerment, are not official representatives of Prediki. These users voluntarily and independently help others concerning questions or issues, but are not in person responsible for Prediki or its content.
