Prediki utilises Collective Intelligence, predictions result from a specialised trading mechanism, analysis is written co-operatively using wiki-technologies. The name "Prediki" is a portmanteau blending the words Prediction and Wiki to symbolise these building blocks.

Prediki constantly aggregates individual predictions into an overall prediction which is consistently more reliable than any single expert's.

Prediki is privately owned and headquartered in Vienna, Austria. The Company has also been funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economics's JITU-Seedfinancing program via Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH, the government's investment promotion institution.
