Laut einem Bericht der österreichischen Wochenzeitung Falter vom 4. Juli 2017 wurde die Islam Kindergarten-Studie von Sebastian Kurz' Beamten umgeschrieben. Der Bericht erzeugte hohes mediales Echo. Hier ist ein Kurzfilm der Redaktion:

Klärung durch wissenschaftliche Prüfung

Die Universität Wien gab am selben Tag bekannt, dass sie prüfen wird, inwieweit die Regeln der guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis eingehalten wurden. 

Prognostiziert werden soll der Ausgang des laufenden wissenschaftlichen Prüfverfahrens der "Studie zur "Evaluierung ausgewählter Islamischer Kindergärten und –gruppen in Wien" von Univ.-Prov. Ednan Aslan.
