In einer parallelen Studie befragen wir derzeit namens GILT 1.000 Österreicherinnen und Österreicher im repräsentativen Mix (Geschlecht, Alter, Ausbildung, ...): "Wie zufriedenstellend oder problematisch finden Sie die derzeitige Lage in Österreich im Bereich Medienpolitik (inkl. Rundfunk, Telekom und Post)?". Die Antwortmöglichkeiten reichen von "Sehr zufriedenstellend" bis "Sehr problematisch". An die Umfrage schließt ebenfalls ein Prognosemarkt an. Zur Abrechnung dieser Prognosefrage wird das Ergebnis der repräsentativen Studie herangezogen.

Die Kommunikationsbehörde Austria ist Regulierungsbehörde für Rundfunk und audiovisuelle Medien und zugleich die Rechtsaufsichtsbehörde über den Österreichischen Rundfunk. Dazu kommt die Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH (RTR-GmbH), die Telekom-Control-Kommission (TKK) sowie die Post-Control-Kommission (PCK).

Presseförderung

Im Rahmen der Presseförderung des Bundes wurden die Tageszeitungen mit 5,34 Mio. Euro gefördert. Die Vertriebsförderung, die auf alle förderungswürdigen Tageszeitungen verteilt wird, betrug 2,10 Mio. Euro. Die Besondere Förderung zur Erhaltung der regionalen Vielfalt, von der die national sowie regional marktführenden Blätter sowie Tageszeitungen mit einer verkauften Auflage von mehr als 100.000 Stück pro Nummer ausgeschlossen sind, betrug 3,24 Mio. Euro. Die höchsten Förderbeträge erhielten Die Presse und Der Standard mit jeweils 0,92 Mio. Euro sowie das Neue Volksblatt mit 0,80 Mio. Euro.
