Yeah right, Maria, a very fitting comment you make. Russians agressively bring babyfood and medicine inside Ukraine. Whereas others just peacefully drop bombs - even atom bombs - inside other countries, thank goodness.

so how long do you propose is a legimate time period to allow to pass before an attack on the convoy or on part of it is irrelevant to this particular question. I myself understood ''stopped by force'' to mean just that, if the convoy attempted to cross the border after being told they couldnt do so then Ukraine could either stand by and do nothing or stop it by force, the fact that the convoy did not sneak over the border and was in view of Ukraine government while crossing to me means they declined to deploy force to stop it , which in view of the question is about as unambiguos an answer as one could hope for. Did Ukraine know the convoy was crossing the border ? Yes. Did they no before the convoy made it all the way to its intended destination? Yes. Did they have the means and the oppertunity to deploy force to halt the convoy in its tracks? Yes. Did Ukraine deploy force to stop the Russian aid convoy from crossing its border? No. I feel it a clear cut answer to the question in question.

For my 2c "the Russian aid convoy" clearly means the entirety of the convoy, not just part of it. If we settle prematurely and an attack occurs on the remaining lorries what do we do then? Therefore I'd wait till we know. What's the harm?

"They (the russian aid convoy) passed into Ukraine without clearance or participation of the International Red Cross or (Ukrainian) border guards," Ukrainian military spokesman Andriy Lysenko told journalists.
